Slovenia donated two tractors to SESU for humanitarian demining needs

Slovenia has handed over two tractors to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for the needs of humanitarian demining. The transfer ceremony took place with the participation of the Slovenian Ambassador to Ukraine and representatives of the Ukrainian government.
The tractors are intended for transporting heavy demining machines between work sites. The ability to quickly redeploy heavy equipment is critical for the efficient organisation of demining operations — it allows concentrating resources where they are most needed.
"We are grateful to Slovenia for the consistent support in the field of humanitarian demining. These tractors will contribute to the operational capability of the State Emergency Service in transporting heavy equipment and will be used in the most contaminated regions of Ukraine," said the representative of the State Emergency Service.
Slovenia is one of the active partners of Ukraine in the mine action sphere. The country has experience in post-conflict clearance and regularly supports Ukrainian demining efforts through equipment transfers, expert exchanges, and participation in international coordination mechanisms.
"Slovenia understands the importance of humanitarian demining for Ukraine's recovery. We are committed to continuing our support and sharing our experience in mine action," emphasised the Slovenian Ambassador.
The transferred equipment was immediately put into operation. The tractors will be used in Kharkiv, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions — the areas with the highest concentration of mine contamination.
