More machines, service and localization. Results from the leading demining machine manufacturers

Leading manufacturers of demining machines, DOK-ING and GCS, have increased the number of machines operating in Ukrainian fields and expanded their own capabilities in servicing and repairing the corresponding equipment.

As of today, dozens of mechanical demining machines produced by these companies are working in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the fleet of demining machinery has grown several times over.

«Servicing machines in the field is one of the key challenges. A machine that is under repair is a machine that is not clearing mines. Therefore, we are actively investing in the development of local service infrastructure,» noted a DOK-ING representative.

Both companies are also working on increasing the localisation of production in Ukraine. In particular, DOK-ING collaborates with the Ukrainian company A3tech, which manufactures key components for demining machines.

GCS, in turn, has opened a service centre in Ukraine and is training local specialists to perform maintenance and repairs.

«Our goal is to ensure that every machine can be restored to operation as quickly as possible after damage. This requires both spare parts availability and qualified personnel on the ground,» said a GCS representative.
