Ihor Bezkaravainyi: Thanks to GRIT, we are transitioning to digital planning in demining

"Thanks to GRIT, we are transitioning to digital planning in demining," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi. The Deputy Minister praised the digital platform as a transformative tool for the mine action sector.

"GRIT fundamentally changes how we plan and manage demining operations. Instead of paper-based processes and fragmented data, we now have a unified digital platform that provides real-time visibility into operations across the country," said Bezkaravainyi.

The platform enables planners to visualise contamination data, track operator activities, monitor progress against targets, and make data-driven decisions about resource allocation.

"The transition to digital planning is not just about technology — it is about a change in culture and approach. Data-driven decision-making produces better results than traditional methods," noted the Deputy Minister.

GRIT is being progressively rolled out across the mine action sector, with training provided to planners, operators, and partners. The platform is designed to be user-friendly while providing powerful analytical capabilities.

"We expect GRIT to become the standard tool for mine action planning in Ukraine, supporting our transition to a fully digital, evidence-based approach," emphasised Bezkaravainyi.
