France becomes the 11th country to support Ukraine under the humanitarian demining framework

Prioritisation in humanitarian demining: Ukrainian developers have created a platform with over 100 datasets. The platform aggregates and analyses data from multiple sources to produce evidence-based recommendations on which territories should be demined first.

"The prioritisation platform is a technological breakthrough for our sector. Ukrainian developers have created a tool that analyses over 100 datasets — from satellite imagery and contamination data to agricultural productivity and population density — to produce clear, data-driven recommendations for prioritising demining," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The platform uses advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms to process data and generate prioritisation maps. These maps help planners and decision-makers direct resources to territories where demining will have the greatest socio-economic impact.

"Previously, prioritisation was largely based on expert judgment and available resources. Now we have a tool that provides objective, data-based recommendations. This ensures that every hryvnia invested in demining produces maximum results," explained the platform developer.

The platform has been piloted in several regions and has demonstrated its effectiveness in improving resource allocation and operational planning.

"Data-driven decision-making is the future of mine action. This platform positions Ukraine as a global leader in using technology for evidence-based prioritisation," emphasised the Deputy Minister.
