State programme for compensating agricultural land demining: more than two thousand hectares of land have been returned to farmers. This milestone confirms the programme's growing scale and impact.
"More than two thousand hectares returned through the compensation programme — this is a significant achievement. The programme has proven that it can handle large-scale tasks and deliver results that make a real difference for farmers," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The cleared lands are distributed across several regions, with the largest volumes in Kharkiv, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions. Multiple operators participated in the clearance, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
"Each cleared hectare has a direct economic impact — restored agricultural production, income for farm families, and contributions to food security. Two thousand hectares is a significant volume that demonstrates the programme's capacity," noted the Deputy Minister.
The programme continues to expand with new applications and auctions being processed regularly. The state budget provides ongoing funding.
"We aim for continued growth. The demand for demining services from farmers is high, and we are working to match supply with demand," emphasised Bezkaravainyi.
