Mine action operators in Ukraine: current status and perspectives

Mine action operators will be able to certify through the Diia portal. The Ministry of Economy, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has developed a digital certification mechanism that will enable operators to obtain certification entirely online.

"The Diia certification is a revolution in how operators interact with the state. No more paper documents, no more office visits. The entire process — from application to decision — is conducted in a digital format," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The system provides for the submission of all required documents in electronic format, automatic verification of their completeness, and tracking of application processing status. Operators receive notifications about the status of their application at every stage.

"We designed the system to be intuitive and user-friendly. Even companies encountering the certification process for the first time can easily navigate it," explained the Ministry of Digital Transformation representative.

The transition to digital certification is expected to significantly reduce the time required for obtaining certification and reduce the administrative burden on both operators and the certification body.

"Digitalisation is not only about convenience — it is also about transparency. When the entire process is digital, every step is documented, and there is no room for opacity," noted the Deputy Minister.

The launch of online certification through Diia is planned for the near future, after the completion of the testing stage and training of the certification team to work with the new system.
