The United24 platform, together with the Ministry of Economy, launched a major fundraising campaign for demining facilities in three Ukrainian regions. The funds raised will be directed to clearing critical infrastructure, social facilities, and agricultural land in Kharkiv, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
"This fundraising campaign is about specific facilities that need to be cleared from explosive ordnance — schools, hospitals, roads, fields. Every hryvnia contributed brings the moment when these facilities can safely serve people again closer," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The United24 platform has become one of the key channels for raising funds for Ukraine's recovery needs, including humanitarian demining. The platform offers a convenient mechanism for donations from around the world.
"We unite the efforts of millions of people worldwide who want to help Ukraine. Humanitarian demining is one of the most understandable and impactful areas — everyone understands that land must be safe. That is why we are confident this campaign will find a broad response," noted the United24 representative.
The campaign has a specific financial target and a transparent reporting mechanism. All donors will be able to see how their funds are used and which specific facilities have been cleared.
Funds from the campaign will be used to hire certified mine action operators who will carry out clearance in the designated areas. The work will be supervised by the Centre for Humanitarian Demining, ensuring quality and compliance with international standards.
