Demining funding reaches record level: over 500 million UAH allocated for the compensation program

The first heavy remotely operated demining system in Ukraine, HART 5100, has received a certificate of conformity. The machine, fully developed and produced in Ukraine, successfully passed all the required tests.

"The HART 5100 is a landmark achievement for Ukraine's domestic demining industry. It is the first fully Ukrainian heavy remotely operated demining system to receive state certification. This proves that Ukraine can produce world-class demining equipment," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The machine was developed by XTI Engineering in Kharkiv and underwent rigorous testing at a certified testing ground. The tests confirmed the machine's ability to withstand mine detonations, effectively process soil, and be reliably controlled from a safe distance.

"The HART 5100 represents the culmination of years of engineering work. We designed every component with the specific needs of Ukrainian mine fields in mind," noted the machine's developer.

Key specifications include remote control up to 600 metres (extendable to 1 km with a repeater), surveillance cameras with wide viewing angles, working speed of 1.5 km/h, soil processing depth up to 300 mm, and the ability to demine over 2 hectares per day.

"This certification opens the door to serial production and deployment across the country. The HART 5100 is ready for the field," emphasised the Deputy Minister.
