Compensation is available for purchasing Ukrainian demining equipment and machines under the 'Made in Ukraine' program

Ukrainian demining equipment and machines are covered by the "Industrial Cashback" programme. This means that purchasers of Ukrainian-made demining machines can receive 15% compensation from the state for their cost.

"Demining machines are now officially included in the list of equipment eligible for the 15% state compensation under the programme. This is an important step to support the Ukrainian demining equipment industry and make Ukrainian machines more competitive," said Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The programme operates within the framework of the national policy "Made in Ukraine" and covers equipment manufactured in Ukraine with a localisation level of at least 40%. The compensation is 15% of the cost excluding VAT.

"This creates a double effect: on one hand, mine action operators get access to more affordable equipment; on the other hand, Ukrainian manufacturers receive additional demand, which stimulates investment in R&D and production capacity expansion," explained the Deputy Minister.

To receive the compensation, purchasers must acquire the equipment through authorised banks that have signed a memorandum with the Ministry of Economy. The list of eligible equipment is published on the Ministry's website.

For manufacturers to join the programme, they must submit an application with supporting documents to meconomy@me.gov.ua confirming a localisation level of at least 40%, along with a cost calculation and financial statements.

The programme creates incentives for the development of the domestic demining equipment industry — one of the government's priorities for increasing Ukraine's self-sufficiency in the mine action sector.
